Ruben sang this song at a concert that centered around Eric Essix's "This Train" CD that featured several Birmingham artists. The concert was conducted by Dr. Henry Panion, III.

So, is this the only kind of NEW music he's going to do?

So, is this the only kind of NEW music he's going to do? I doubt if that is something that he/they would expect a radio station to pick up. Probably was proud of how he sang it at the event and wanted to give people a chance to purchase it. I'm just guessing though. Doesn't seem that being a recording artist is something that he's focused on now. Again, I'm guessing. No way of knowing. I'm sure that helped a lot. LOL!

lol Didn't help but I'm just saying I want something that is modern or fun. I like music that makes me feel good or is just fun to listen to. Sorry 04 wasn't deep but it was fun to listen to. I miss that Ruben.

I miss that Ruben. I think that you're saying what is kind of a predicament that he's in. The way he started out appealed to the younger folks while the more mature audience complained about songs like Sorry not having the substance that they expected. Now he seems more interested in the more jazz flavored songs and songs with more substance. That type of music probably won't appeal to the younger folks and thereby probably won't get much radio play or benefit from downloads and streaming but will probably serve him well in concerts. I have to say though that every one of his concerts that I have attended, Sorry 2004 gets the biggest crowd reaction. So, maybe his next album will be versatile enough to have something that you will like. I hope so anyway.

I'm Glad you're back posting. I don't particularly like that song but would probably enjoy him performing it at a show. I think it's time for an uplifting song too.

Haters!!! (Just kidding - I really HATE that word ) Well, in this video he says that a new single is coming out in a couple of weeks. So...we'll see. Hopefully it's a new song and not promotion for this one. If so, I think a certain head will explode.

I just read something saying that the song will be on his upcoming album by the same name. Oh, oh.
