Well, I got to see Ruben FINALLY. He was in my city tonight and I had no conflict to keep me from going. The church is one of the most renown within the city and the Christmas concert is one of the highlights of the year. Each year they bring in guest artists to perform with the church's awesome choir. This year, the special guests were Tramaine Hawkins and Ruben. There were also local recording artists that had featured roles with the choir. Amazing talents. We opted for the reserved seats to make sure that we were able to get in and it is a good thing we did because there was an overflow crowd. Ruben and Tramaine sang 4 songs each. Ruben came out twice during the program and sang 2 songs each time. Tramaine sang her songs consecutively. Ruben looked and sounded great. He flew in from Florida for the concert and is headed to California to continue the Christmas Tour with Peabo, etal so he's probably exhausted. I've had a long day and wasn't in much of a photography mood but I do have one that could have been better. I can't think of much right now but Tramaine was exceptional, of course. I only know him from photos but I believe it was John Jackson that accompanied Ruben on piano. Great musician. Cederic was also with him. Quite a few women forgot that they were in church when Ruben came on stage. Oh yeah, Ruben has trimmed the beard. Thank God!

He sang two Christmas songs, "Silent Night" and another that I wasn't as familiar with and can't recall the title. He also sang his standards "Flying Without Wings" and "I Need an Angel." The latter seemed to be a crowd favorite. No, I didn't see him after the show. He left early to get to his next engagement.

^Yes, I was there. I was sitting 2 seats behind him when he came to sit in the audience. I didn't try to get his attention because I'm sure they would have thought I was one of the women that couldn't contain themselves while he was singing and probably would have rushed him out of there.

You should have tipped up there and tapped him on the shoulder and said hi, my name is SNR.
